YR Series 10 kV Medium-High Voltage Motor Product Overview:

The YR Series medium-high voltage three-phase wound-rotor induction motors are a key product line developed by our company, incorporating ABB’s high-voltage three-phase induction motor technical standards and leveraging our extensive practical experience in manufacturing high-voltage motors. The power ratings, mounting dimensions, and electrical performance of these induction motors comply with China’s national standard GB755 “General Technical Requirements for Rotating Electrical Machines” and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards.

The mechanical dimensions and tolerances of all components in this series conform to China’s national standards GB1800–GB1804 and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards. The enclosure protection class of this motor series complies with GB4942.1 and IEC 34-5 “Degrees of Protection Provided by the General Purpose Enclosures for Rotating Electrical Machines”, and is rated IP23 (open-type). Other protection classes—such as IP44 or IP54—can be provided upon special request and negotiation with the customer. The cooling method follows GB1993 and IEC 34-6 “Methods of Cooling Electrical Machines”, and is designated IC01 (self-ventilated, open). Alternative cooling methods can be arranged upon customer request. The standard mounting arrangement is horizontal with feet (IMB3), conforming to GB997 and IEC 34-7 “Types of Construction and Mounting Arrangements for Rotating Electrical Machines”.

YR Series 10 kV Medium-High Voltage Motor Product Applications:

The YR Series high-voltage three-phase induction motors deliver high starting torque under relatively low starting current and support speed adjustment within a limited range. They are suitable for applications where: the power supply capacity is insufficient to start squirrel-cage rotor motors; long or frequent starting cycles are required; or limited-range speed control is needed—e.g., driving hoists, rolling mills, wire-drawing machines, etc.

YR Series 10 kV Medium-High Voltage Motor Product Construction:

The YR Series high-voltage three-phase induction motors employ Class F insulation. Bearings are designed to IP54 protection level. Grease lubrication is used for frame sizes H355–H630; forced thin-oil lubrication with sliding bearings is applied for frame sizes H710–H1000.

The construction and mounting arrangement of the YR Series high-voltage three-phase induction motors is IMB3. The duty rating is continuous (S1) as per standard. Rated frequency is 50 Hz; rated voltages are 6 kV and 10 kV. Other voltage ratings or special requirements may be jointly determined with the customer at the time of ordering.
