TDMK series high-voltage synchronous motors for mining applications (6 kV / 10 kV)
The rotation direction of the TDMK-series high-voltage synchronous motors for mining applications is either clockwise or counterclockwise when viewed from the slip-ring side. When the motor is coupled to a milling machine, the drive-end (DE) shaft must not be subjected to any additional axial or radial forces.

TDMK Mine-Use Large-Sized Synchronous Three-Phase Motor
For the TDMK-series mine-use high-voltage synchronous motor, the direction of rotation—as viewed from the slip-ring side—may be either clockwise or counterclockwise. When the motor is coupled to a milling machine, no additional axial or radial force shall be applied to the motor’s drive-end (DE) shaft.
The TDMK-series mine-use high-voltage synchronous motor employs direct-on-line (DOL) starting. If supply capacity is insufficient, reduced-voltage starting may be adopted appropriately; both starting current and starting torque will thereby decrease.
Stator lead wires: 6 leads (U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2)
Regarding motor bearings:Plain (sleeve) bearings or compound bearings. A rubber pad is placed between the bearing and the motor frame to prevent shaft currents.
Structure of the TDMK-series mine-use high-voltage synchronous motor:
Frame: Integral structure fabricated by welding steel plates
Stator: Stacked sector-shaped laminations of 0.5 mm-thick silicon steel. Insulation class may be Class B or Class F.
Application fields:
The TDMK-series mine-use high-voltage synchronous motors manufactured by SIMO Motor are primarily used to drive grinding machinery such as ball mills, rod mills, and coal pulverizers.
