YKK6302-4/2000 kW High-Voltage Motor Selection Manual?
YKK Series High-Voltage Three-Phase Induction Motors (3 kV, 6 kV, 10 kV)
Product Name: YKK Series High-Voltage Three-Phase Induction Motor – YKK6302-4/2000 kW High-Voltage Motor (3 kV, 6 kV, 10 kV)
The YKK Series High-Voltage Three-Phase Induction Motor – YKK6302-4/2000 kW High-Voltage Motor is an optimized product designed and manufactured by our company using advanced domestic and international technologies, combined with our extensive practical experience in producing high-voltage motors. It features a compact structure, light weight, high efficiency, energy savings, low noise, minimal vibration, high reliability, long service life, and convenient installation and maintenance.
This series of motors is suitable for driving various general-purpose machines and other mechanical equipment, including blowers, compressors, pumps, crushers, machine tools, and transport machinery. They serve as prime movers in industrial and mining enterprises such as mines, machinery, petroleum, chemical plants, and power stations. For applications driving blowers, coal grinders, rolling mills, hoists, or belt conveyors, customers must provide relevant technical data when placing orders and sign a technical agreement to serve as the basis for special motor design, ensuring reliable motor operation.
This series of motors employs Class F insulation, with temperature rise evaluated per Class B; rated frequency is 50 Hz; rated voltages are 3 kV, 6 kV, and 10 kV. Motors rated at 60 Hz or other voltages can also be manufactured upon order. Motors rated at 3 kV and other voltage classes may refer to the 6 kV specifications.
The standard mounting configuration for the YKK6302-4/2000 kW high-voltage motor is horizontal with feet (IMB3).
The Y series constitutes the basic motor series; the YKS and YKK series are derived variants differing in cooling method and protection class.
The YKK6302-4/2000 kW high-voltage motor complies with relevant IEC standards issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and conforms to GB755<< “Rotating Electrical Machines – Ratings and Performance”.
Model Designation of the YKK6302-4/2000 kW High-Voltage Motor
YKK6302-4“Y” denotes squirrel-cage rotor induction motor; “KK” denotes forced ventilation cooling; “6302” indicates frame center height of 355 mm and core length No. 2; “4” denotes number of poles.

Structural Features of the YKK6302-4
The motor adopts a box-type construction: the frame is fabricated from welded steel plates, offering light weight and high rigidity. Windows are provided on both side panels and the top of the frame—facilitating motor maintenance and servicing, and enabling derivation of motors with different cooling methods and protection classes by installing various coolers on the top.
The stator adopts an external clamping structure; the stator winding uses Class F insulation material; the winding ends are reliably fixed and bound, and treated with Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) using solvent-free varnish. Thus, the motor exhibits excellent insulation performance, high mechanical strength, strong moisture resistance, and a long service life.
The squirrel-cage rotor is available in two configurations: cast aluminum and copper bar. It is manufactured using advanced, reliable casting or welding processes and subjected to dynamic balancing verification, ensuring stable and reliable motor operation.
Bearings are provided in either rolling or sliding types, selected based on motor power rating and speed; their protection class is IP44 or IP54; rolling bearings are equipped with an on-line oil injection and drainage device.
The main terminal box is located on the right side of the motor (viewed from the drive-end). Upon user request, it can be positioned on the left side; both internal and external sides of the terminal box feature separate grounding terminals.
Upon user request, temperature-sensing devices can be installed at critical locations such as the stator winding and bearings, facilitating on-site observation and remote monitoring to ensure safe and reliable motor operation.
