1 SIMO Motor YE5-225S-4-37 kW-380 V Ultra-High-Efficiency Energy-Saving Motor (IE5 Efficiency Level) – Overview

The SIMO Motor YE5-225S-4-37 kW-380 V ultra-high-efficiency energy-saving motor (IE5 efficiency level) is a new-generation product developed by our company. Based on the high-efficiency YE4 motor, it has undergone further rigorous energy-saving optimization to become a new generation of energy-efficient three-phase induction motors. It features innovative design, attractive appearance, low noise, high torque, excellent starting performance, compact structure, and convenient operation and maintenance. Its efficiency meets the Level 1 efficiency requirements specified in GB 18613-2020 “Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Small and Medium Three-Phase Induction Motors”. Certification as an energy-saving product by the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) is expected shortly; currently, the product is in the pre-launch promotion phase.

　　YE5The motor’s power ratings, electrical performance characteristics, mounting dimensions, and tolerances all comply with national standard GB 755 “Rotating Electrical Machines”, IEC Standard IEC 34-1 “Rotating Electrical Machines—Rating and Performance”, and mechanical industry standard GB/T 4772.1.

　　YE5The motor’s enclosure protection rating conforms to GB 4942.1 and IEC 34-5 “Degrees of Protection Provided by the General Purpose Enclosures for Rotating Electrical Machines”. The cooling method for this series complies with GB/T 1993 and IEC 34-6 “Methods of Cooling for Rotating Electrical Machines”, and is designated IC411.

The structural and mounting configurations for this series are IMB3 (horizontal, with feet, end shields without flanges), IMB5 (horizontal, without feet, end shields with flanges), IMB35 (horizontal, with feet, end shields with flanges), and IMV1 (vertical, without feet, end shields with flanges), all conforming to GB/T 997 and IEC 34-7 “Designations for Types of Construction and Mounting of Rotating Electrical Machines”.

This series employs Class F insulation, while temperature rise across the entire series is evaluated per Class B limits—significantly enhancing operational safety and reliability.

Per GB 4831, the motor model number consists of two parts arranged sequentially: the product code and the specification code. The product code comprises standardized symbols, defined as follows:
