I. Overview

The YKK series 6 kV and 10 kV high-voltage three-phase induction motors are totally enclosed squirrel-cage motors equipped with air-to-air coolers. The motor’s degree of protection is IP44 or IP54 (per GB/T 4942.1), and the cooling method is IC611 (per GB/T 1993).

These motors feature high efficiency, energy savings, low noise, low vibration, light weight, reliable performance, and convenient installation and maintenance.

This series of motors can drive various types of machinery, such as general-purpose machines, compressors, pumps, crushers, cutting machines, and other equipment; they may also serve as prime movers in coal mines, machinery industries, power plants, and other industrial and mining enterprises.

The motor construction and mounting configuration comply with IMB3 (per GB 997). The duty rating is continuous duty (S1); the rated frequency is 50 Hz; and the rated voltage is 6 kV or 10 kV. Other voltage ratings or special requirements may be jointly determined with the customer upon order placement.

Viewed from the drive-end shaft extension, 2-pole motors rotate clockwise. If counterclockwise rotation is required, it must be explicitly specified when placing the order.

II. Model Designation Meaning

Taking YKK3551-4 as an example: “YKK” denotes a totally enclosed squirrel-cage induction motor with an air-to-air cooler.

V. Ordering Instructions (Customers must specify the following requirements when placing an order), e.g.:

After-sales Service:
This product is manufactured in accordance with relevant national standards and carries a one-year warranty. Within the warranty period, if quality issues arise, SIMO Motor will provide a clear resolution proposal immediately upon receiving notification from the customer. When on-site service is required: for distances within 500 km, service personnel will arrive on-site within 24 hours; for distances between 500–1000 km, within 48 hours; and for distances over 1000 km, within 56 hours (excluding force majeure events).
Ordering Instructions:
It is recommended to specify the following information when placing an order:
Mounting type: IMB3 (horizontal mounting), IMB5 (vertical mounting), IMB35 (universal horizontal/vertical mounting), etc.;
Rated voltage: Low-voltage motors: 380 V, 660 V, 380 V/660 V, etc.;
High-voltage motors: 6000 V, 10000 V, etc.;
Rated frequency: Typically 50 Hz;
Degree of protection: IP44, IP54, IP55;
Delivery Date:
Due to structural differences, high-voltage motors have longer lead times. For low-voltage motors, models up to 200 kW (2-pole), 315 kW (4-pole), and 200 kW (6-pole) are generally available in stock. Other low-voltage motors require a minimum lead time of 15 days; high-voltage motors require a minimum lead time of 20 days. Upon order placement, a formal motor contract must be submitted separately; the contract becomes effective upon receipt of the deposit, and the balance must be paid in full prior to shipment.
